NKAWKAW: Authorities Set to Demolish Notorious Boboshanti Spot After Spike in Violent Crimes

A popular spot in Nkawkaw known as Boboshanti, widely recognized as a drug den and crime hotspot, is set to be demolished following a high-level security meeting held in the municipality.

The crunch meeting, which included representatives from the Obomeng Palace and key stakeholders of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, concluded with a firm resolution to bring down the Boboshanti spot, which has become a hub for criminal activity.

This decisive move comes in the wake of the recent brutal killing of a young man known locally as “One Toska.” His death marks the eighth recorded murder associated with the area since the spot began operating, raising serious concerns about public safety.

During a media briefing at the scene, the Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu West, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, assured the public that the demolition will be carried out within a week. He stressed the Assembly’s commitment to curbing crime and restoring peace and order in the municipality.

The MCE added that the Assembly would not tolerate any enclave that threatens the safety of residents and promised further actions to clamp down on criminal hideouts across the district.
