The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced that it will from Monday, October 6, 2025, begin issuing and distributing Ghana Cards to Ghanaian children aged between six (6) and fourteen (14) who have already completed their registration.
According to a statement issued by the Authority and signed by Mr. Williams Ampomah E. Darlas, Head of the Corporate Affairs Directorate, the exercise will take place at designated registration points — specifically, the schools where the children were originally registered.
The first phase of the distribution will begin in 56 districts across the country, with other districts scheduled to follow in the coming days.

“The National Identification Authority is ready to deliver a smooth and efficient exercise following the clearance of all backlogs of unprinted Ghana Cards,” the statement said.
As part of the collection process, each child or applicant is required to be physically present. Parents or legal guardians must accompany their wards and present the Form A or receipt issued on the day of registration to facilitate collection.
