In a bid to enhance security and community safety in the Nkwanta South Municipality, Mr. Joseph Awal Antwi, Municipal Chief Executive has conferred with Mr. John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister over pressing security concerns in the Municipality.
The meeting highlighted the leaders’ shared commitment to creating a secured environment for residents.
By pooling their efforts, they aimed to develop and implement effective strategies to strengthen security and promote peace in Nkwanta South.

During the engagement, relevant authorities, agencies, departments, and stakeholders were consulted to reinforce peace efforts.
The collaborative approach demonstrated the determination of local leaders to address security challenges and ensure the well-being of residents.
The initiative was expected to yield positive outcomes, making the Municipality safer and more secure for its residents.
The Nkwanta South enclave has been a centre of conflicts resulting in deaths, burning of properties and human displacements as well as protracted imposition of curfew to stem hostilities emanating from land disputes.
