Law students now eligible for students loan plus

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced that professional law students in Ghana are now eligible to benefit from the Students Loan Plus initiative, which provides full fee coverage loans to tertiary students.

This follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama calling for the inclusion of students from the Ghana School of Law in the national student loan scheme. The move marks a significant milestone in government efforts to promote equal access to higher education and professional training across all disciplines.

In a statement issued by the Corporate Communications Directorate of the SLTF, the Fund explained that the inclusion of law students aligns with the government’s broader vision of ensuring that no qualified Ghanaian student is denied higher education due to financial constraints.

“The inclusion of professional law students in the student loan scheme is in tune with the government’s commitment to promoting access to higher education and professional development through innovative student financing solutions,” the statement read.

How to Apply

Eligible students can apply for the loan through the No Fees Stress Portal at www.sltf.gov.gh. Applicants are to select the Students Loan Plus option and follow a simple, step-by-step online process.

The SLTF assured prospective applicants of full support throughout the application process, adding that assistance is available via email at info@sltf.gov.gh or by contacting 0302751020 or 0264043072.

The Fund reaffirmed its dedication to fostering equitable access to quality education for all Ghanaians, emphasizing that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to make higher education more inclusive and financially accessible.
