The media accreditation process has officially been opened for the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first-leg encounter between Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC and Nigeria’s Kwara United, scheduled for Sunday, 21st September 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to a statement from the club, interested media practitioners are required to submit formal applications, duly signed by their Managers or Editors, and addressed to the Head of Media, Asante Kotoko SC via email at asantekotokomedia@gmail.com. Each application must include a recent passport photograph, as applications without it will not be considered. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, 10th September 2025, by 4:00 p.m., after which late applications will not be entertained.
Collection of Accreditation Tags

- Kumasi-based journalists: Friday, 19th September 2025, at the Conference Room of the Baba Yara Stadium.
- All other media practitioners: Sunday, 21st September 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Applicants are reminded to present a valid ID when picking up their tags.
Access and Categories
Only listed photographers from organizations such as GNA, GFA, Ghanaian Times, Daily Graphic, NSA, MOYS, Kwara Media, alongside 10 approved freelancers, will be permitted pitch-side access. Other media categories will be restricted to the following quotas:
- Television – 2 slots
- Radio – 2 slots
- Print/Online Portal – 1 slot
Limited Space Available
Kotoko emphasized that the Accra Sports Stadium can only accommodate 200 journalists, and accreditation will therefore be granted strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. A shortlist of successful applicants will be published on the club’s official website on Monday, 15th September 2025.
The upcoming fixture promises to be a thrilling battle as Asante Kotoko seeks to secure a vital first-leg advantage over Kwara United in their continental campaign.
