Kojo Frempong urges NPP 2028 aspirants to prioritize party unity

Mr. Kojo Frempong, 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP} Parliamentary Candidate for Wenchi Constituency of the Bono Region, has urged presidential aspirants and their supporters to put the party’s interest above personal ambitions.

He said as the NPP prepared for its Election 2028 presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026, it was imperative for aspirants and their camps to remain decorous and avoid conduct that could disintegrate the party and weaken its electoral prospects.

Mr. Frempong gave the advice when addressing NPP supporters and delegates in Wenchi during the visit of Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the party’s presidential hopefuls, as part of his ‘Unity Tour’.

“Let us endeavour to put the interest of the NPP above our personal ambitions for the sake of winning Election 2028,” he stated, cautioning against insults and abusive campaign language.

He further appealed to aspirants to accept the outcome of the presidential primary in good faith, bury their differences, and rally behind whoever emerged as the party’s flagbearer.

Expressing optimism, Mr. Frempong said with a united and formidable front, the NPP stood a strong chance of returning to power in the 2028 General Election, and called on party members to forgive and reconcile with one another.
