HO HIGH COURT CONVICTS SEVEN PERSONS FOR ROBBERY AND MURDER OF FORMER ASSEMBLY MEMBER

1. The Ho High Court 1 in the Volta Region has convicted seven (7) persons in connection with the robbery and murder of the late Mawutor Adzahli, former Assembly Member of Sogakope.
2. The judgment, delivered on 22nd May, 2025 by Justice John Ekow Mensah, found the three accused persons guilty on charges of robbery and murder. Richard Adikyere was sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in the murder of the

Assembly Member whiles Stephen Adzibolo, and Emmanuel Hedzro were also sentenced to 47 years imprisonment each.

3. In addition, four (4) other accused persons namely, Samuel Kofi Zotorvi,

Christian Zotorvi, Michael Sam, and Obed Ayornu who pleaded guilty during the course of the trial, were convicted and sentenced as follows; Samuel Kofi Zotorvi and Christian Zotorvi, were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each while Michael Sam

and Obed Ayornu also had 20 years each.

4. They are currently serving their sentences at Ho Central Prisons.
