The 2025 Women’s Convention of the Tema District of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI) has ended at Gbetsile in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality of the Great Accra Region.
The four-day event was on the theme: “Focusing on the Culture of Jesus: Evangelism and Discipleship of Jesus”.
It was attended by women from all the eight branches of the Church in the Tema Area, namely: Mount Zion Assembly, Maranatha Assembly, Grace Temple, City of Refuge Temple, Faith Temple, Tema Newtown Assembly, Prampram Assembly and Mexico City Cell Group.

Rev Paul Morgan-Adorsu, GCCI Tema District Pastor in his Sunday homily to the Convention appealed to Christian to forgive one another; declaring that the Bible commands Christians to forgive others because Christ had forgiven them.
He reiterated that withholding forgiveness could lead to spiritual alienation, bitterness, and that it also hinders their relationship with God.
Speaking on the topic “Jesus the Humble Servant”, Rev Morgan-Adorsu urged Christians to emulate Jesus’ humility.
He said humility was important in Christianity because it reflects the selfless example of Jesus Christ.
Rev Iddi Yire, Resident Pastor, GCCI Maranatha Assembly, who administered the Holy Communion Service at the Convention, reiterated that there were two major sacraments instituted by Jesus Christ in Christianity; namely water baptism and Holy Communion or the Lord’s supper, which the Church universal observes.
He advised Christians not to be running away from the Holy Communion Service, stating that “whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes”.
Rev Daniel Gidisu, the Resident Pastor of Mount Zion Assembly of GCCI, in his word of encouragement, urged Christian parents to be mindful of the kind of names they give to their children, since names had the ability to influence a child’s destiny.
Deaconess Veronica Dorgbetor, the President of the Women’s Ministry of GCCI Tema District, expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for a successful convention.
