GoldBod Suspends License of Evanex Gold Enterprise Over Illegal Pricing

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has announced the immediate suspension of the license of Evanex Gold Enterprise, a Tier 2 licensed gold buying company, following investigative findings of illegal gold pricing.

In a compliance notice issued on Thursday, August 28, GoldBod explained that the company was found to have engaged in pricing practices that violated the terms and conditions of its operating license.

“All licensed traders, miners, and the general public are hereby advised to desist from trading and/or engaging in any form of gold transaction with Evanex Gold Enterprise forthwith,” the statement cautioned.

GoldBod emphasized that the suspension underscores its commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability, and strict compliance within Ghana’s gold trading sector.

The Compliance Directorate, under the authority of GoldBod’s Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Gyamfi, Esq., signed off the notice, assuring stakeholders that the regulatory body would continue to enforce the rules governing the industry.

GoldBod urged all players in the sector to adhere strictly to legal standards to safeguard the integrity of Ghana’s gold market.
