The Give Hope Global, Non-profit Organization has provided the Pepease D/A Basic School with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) laboratory and tools to promote the study of STEM among students.
Subject teachers in the school have therefore undergone an intensive training workshop on STEM to equip students with the requisite knowledge.
Mr. John Watson, Director of Ghana Ministries of Give Hope Global said the study of STEM helped the children to discover real-world applications, sparked their creativity and developed 21st Century skills including technology literacy, and production.

He said there was no limit to what they (the children) could pursue or become – and that careers across all disciplines of interest can benefit from a creative mind.
The STEM tools donated to the school were chemistry lab kit, optic science kit, electromagnetism lab kit, microscope slides, plant cell model, and weather science.
The organization presented about 1,500 Science and Mathematics textbooks to Pepease D/A Basic School, Nkwantanang Presbyterian Primary, Pepease Presbyterian Basic, and Florence Osei Ntim Basic Schools.
Also, with support from Give Hope Global, classroom space has been upgraded into a school library at Pepease D/A Basic School equipped with multiple library books.
Mr. Watson said, “with guidance from teachers the facility will help improve students’ literacy skills.”
Madam Doris Serwaa, Headmistress of Pepease D/A Basic School expressed gratitude to the organization for the kind gesture and assured their commitment of using the facilities and textbooks for the intend purpose.
In recognition of the organization’s immense contributions, the Pepease D/A Basic School presented a citation of appreciation to the Give Hope Global team.
