The Ministry of Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with eLearning Africa, officially designating Ghana as the host of the 18th edition of the eLearning Africa Conference, scheduled to take place in Accra from June 3 to 5, 2026.
The landmark event is set to position Ghana at the forefront of digital learning innovation on the continent, bringing together leading voices from across Africa and around the globe to exchange ideas, showcase best practices, and deepen collaboration in the field of education technology.

The Deputy Minister for Education, Honourable Clement Abas Apaak, praised the partnership as a significant milestone in Ghana’s ongoing educational transformation. He noted that the conference would serve as a platform to spotlight key national initiatives such as the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP) and the Education Strategic Plan (2018–2030)—both of which aim to improve equity, access, and quality in education.
Founder and CEO of eLearning Africa, Rebecca Stromeyer, highlighted that the three-day event will attract a diverse array of stakeholders, including educators, policymakers, innovators, and development partners. The conference will provide an opportunity for participants to share knowledge, build partnerships, and explore the latest advancements in education, training, and digital technology across Africa.
By hosting eLearning Africa 2026, Ghana is reinforcing its commitment to using digital innovation as a key driver in shaping inclusive, high-quality education systems and achieving long-term development goals.
