The Funeral Planning Committee has issued a nationwide call for tributes in honour of the eight distinguished Ghanaians who perished in the tragic helicopter crash of August 6, 2025.
In a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Spokesperson to the President, the public, institutions, and all well-wishers are encouraged to send messages of condolence and heartfelt tributes for inclusion in the official funeral brochure.
Tributes should be emailed to tributes@presidency.gov.gh no later than Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM (noon) GMT.

A State Funeral will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Black Star Square in Accra, beginning at 8:00 AM. The ceremony will bring together Ghanaians from all walks of life to honour the courage, dedication, and legacy of the fallen, whose service to the nation left an indelible mark.
“As we prepare to bid farewell to our fallen compatriots, may their courage, dedication, and spirit inspire us all to continue striving for a stronger, more united, and prosperous Ghana,” the statement read.
The August 6 tragedy, which plunged the nation into mourning, claimed the lives of prominent leaders and dedicated public servants, prompting an outpouring of grief both locally and internationally.
