GES Addresses Concerns Over 2025 Teacher Promotion Exercise

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has responded to growing concerns regarding the ongoing registration for the 2025 teacher promotion exercise, assuring educators of a fair and inclusive process.

In a statement signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, management clarified that the exercise is open to all eligible teachers who received their last promotion or appointment in or before 2021. This comes after concerns were raised about the possible exclusion of some qualified applicants.

GES also acknowledged the technical challenges teachers are facing while accessing and applying through the online promotion link. Management has taken full responsibility for the difficulties, adding that steps are being taken to resolve the issues and improve the system.

“No eligible teacher will be left out of the promotion exercise,” the statement assured, urging applicants to remain calm as technical improvements are implemented.

The Service reaffirmed its commitment to a fair, transparent, and credible promotion process, one that ensures equity and guarantees that every teacher due for promotion will be duly considered.
