Former Health Minister Agyemang-Manu has no link with Banhart Specialist Hospital-Management  

Management of Banhart Specialist Hospital in Sunyani says Mr Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, the former Minister of Health, is not the owner and has no link with the hospital as being speculated in the social media.

“We have taken note of multiple posts on Facebook and on X, alleging that the Banhart Specialist Hospital belongs to Mr Agyemang-Manu, also the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Dormaa Central Constituency”, Mr Owusu Ansah, the Business Manager of the Hospital stated.

He said: “We want to set the records straight that the former MP has no link of ownership to the facility”, saying “the Banhart Specialist Hospital is a privately owned facility, established by a group of Directors with a shared vision to deliver quality and accessible healthcare across various regions”.

Mr Ansah explained that Banhart hospital started operations at Kenyasi in the Ashanti Region a decade ago with the aim of delivering quality specialist healthcare service delivery, adding that “the hospital’s positive impact at Kenyase necessitated its expansion to Kumasi and Sunyani”.

He said: “The Banhart modern infrastructure and high-quality services has naturally attracted public attention, especially during the 2024 electioneering and that triggered unfounded speculation and rumours linking the ownership to the former Minister”.

Mr Ansah emphasized that: “Mr Agyeman-Manu has no ties in any form with any of the Directors of the hospital. Our directors have never ever met him in person through any other means”, indicating that it was imperative that the “management put the records straight and erode the misinformation in the minds of the public”.

Mr John Baptist Kabo-Bah, the Head of Business Development, said: “the hospital focuses on strengthening local healthcare systems by creating jobs, fostering strategic partnerships and continuously investing in advanced medical technology”.

He told the GNA that the facility remained committed to expanding services to meet the evolving health needs of the growing population, especially rural dwellers.
