Family Announces One-Week Observation of Legendary Highlife Icon Daddy Lumba

The family of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has officially announced the one-week observation ceremony in honor of the celebrated Ghanaian music legend.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 30th August 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Legon Sports Stadium (University of Ghana Sports Stadium) in Accra.

The family extended a humble and respectful invitation to friends, fans, and the general public to join them in celebrating the life and legacy of Daddy Lumba, whose music has touched millions across Ghana and beyond.

Born in 1964, Daddy Lumba rose to prominence in the late 1980s and went on to become one of Ghana’s most iconic highlife musicians, with an impressive catalogue of timeless songs. His passing in 2025 has been described as a great loss to the music industry and the nation at large.

Loved ones, industry colleagues, and admirers are expected to throng the Legon Sports Stadium to pay tribute to the life and works of the legend, who until his death, remained a towering figure in Ghana’s music history.
