Organizers of the one-week observation for the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, have announced a change of venue from Legon to the Black Star Square (Independence Square) in Accra.
The decision comes in respect of the ban on funerals within the La Traditional Area, which includes Legon.
The commemoration will now be held on Saturday, 30th August 2025, at Independence Square, where fans, family, and well-wishers are expected to gather in their numbers to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of the music icon.
