GTA worried about fallen standards of some Budget Hotels in Ashanti Region  

Mr Frederick Adjei-Rudolph, Ashanti Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has expressed disappointment about the decline in the quality of standards of some budget hotels in the region.  He attributed the causes of the fallen standards to the neglect of facilities by management, appointment of unqualified staff to manage these facilities and poor maintenance culture.  Speaking to the Ghana News Agency on the performance of the accommodation industry in the region, he said although the GTA was mandated to ensure that accommodation facilities were up to operating standards, the contributions of facility managers could not be overlooked.  He said while some facility managers were up to the task to meet the minimum requirement for licensi...

Upper East GTA presents cocoa products to quadruplets delivered on Chocolate Day

The fountains are working, new irrigation system in place – Nkrumah Park Director assures

The management of the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park says it is installing new irrigation systems to augment water flow to enhance the functioning of the fountains and irrigate the lawns to beautify the park.   News in circulation a week ago indicated that the lawns had dried up, washrooms were unkept and the beautiful fountains were bereft of water. Mr Edward Quao, the Acting Director of the Park, said water flow from the Ghana Water Limited (GWL) to the Park was a challenge, hence the need to install a new irrigation system to augment the flow.
