Fidelity Bank’s Chief Risk Officer urges banks to stay abreast of digital innovations

 Dr. David Animante, Chief Risk Officer at Fidelity Bank Ghana, has urged banks to keep pace with “digital disruptions” led by financial technology (Fintech) and telecommunications companies.  Speaking at the 28th National Banking and Ethics Conference, he said traditional model of banking was being replaced with digital wallets, QR codes, and point-of-sale systems, therefore, financial institutions should catch up with the trend. SSNIT takes SEED to Spintex residents

Staff of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) took to the streets of Spintex, a suburb of Accra, to encourage self-employed individuals and informal sector workers to register for the pension scheme. The initiative forms part of the Self-Employed Enrolment Drive (SEED), launched in May of the previous year to enhance social security protection for informal workers. Since its inception, the number of self-employed subscribers has surged from 13,000 to 120,000. GRA Exceeds Its Revenue Target For The First Three Quarters Of The Year – Board Chairman Reveals

Board Chairman of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr Joe Ghartey says the Authority has exceeded its revenue target for the first three quarters of this year. According to him, the success is ‘historic’, emphasizing that despite an election year the Authority has ensured effective revenue collection.
