Bechem United have confirmed the signing of former Manchester City youth talent Mohammed Aminu as they bolster their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The 24-year-old midfielder returns to Ghana after several years in Europe, where he trained and developed within some of the continent’s top football academies. His arrival is expected to bring a blend of experience, technical skill, and renewed ambition to the Bechem United midfield.
Aminu, once regarded as one of Ghana’s brightest young prospects, made headlines in 2017 when he completed a high-profile £2 million transfer from WAFA to English giants Manchester City. However, despite showing early promise, his time in Europe was hampered by limited playing opportunities, and he was released by City in 2022.
Now back in his home country, Aminu sees this new chapter with Bechem United as a chance to reignite his career and live up to the potential he once showed.
