Asante Kotoko board denies Coach Prosper Ogum's resignation claims

The Kumasi Asante Kotoko board of directors have denied the purported resignation of the club’s head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The 12-member board of the newly crowned Ghanaian champions has issued a statement on the news circulating in the local media over the shocking exit of the 44-year-old trainer.

The Kotoko Board members in a statement labeled the reports as false and urged the club fans to disregard such news going around in the media.

Coach Prosper Ogum was reported to have left the Kumasi-based club after an emergency meeting with the board of directors on Wednesday.

Some management of Asante Kotoko namely Emmanuel Dasoberi and Patrick Osei Agyemang confirmed his decision to leave the club in an interview with Daily Graphic and Adom TV respectively.

However, Asante Kotoko’s board of directors has shrugged off the reports.
