Asante-Akim South MCE donates to families of Juaso accident victims

Maame Sarfoah Appiah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante Akim South, has extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, who lost their lives in the tragic road accident that occurred on Monday at the outskirts of Juaso, along the Kumasi-Accra highway.

‎‎The MCE, through the Office of the President, also donated GH¢15,000 to the bereaved families and an additional GH¢5,000 to assist in covering the medical expenses of those currently receiving treatment at the Juaso Government Hospital.

‎‎Addressing the press after presenting the donation, Maame Sarfoah Appiah emphasised that the gesture reflected the government’s unwavering commitment to standing with its citizens during times of adversity.

‎‎”Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by this heartbreaking incident.

We hope this token will bring some comfort and relief as they navigate this difficult period,” she noted.

‎‎She further assured that the government remained committed to offering continuous support to the affected families and will work with the relevant agencies to ensure survivors receive the necessary care.

‎‎The deceased, mostly youth, perished in the fatal crash which involved a Ford transit bus and a fuel tanker.

The incident has thrown the Obogu community into mourning, prompting swift responses from local authorities and emergency services.
