Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah Mourns Victims of Ghana Helicopter Crash, Offers Prayers for the Nation

Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah, Founder and General Overseer of Royalhouse Chapel International, has joined the nation in mourning the tragic loss of eight lives in today’s fatal military helicopter crash.

In a statement laced with scripture and compassion, the respected clergyman cited Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is near to those who are broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” — to comfort the bereaved and the nation at large.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of eight precious lives, including Hon. Edward Omane Boamah and Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, in this morning’s helicopter crash,” he said. “In the call of national duty, they forfeited their lives.”

Royalhouse Chapel Extends Condolences

On behalf of Royalhouse Chapel International, Apostle General Korankye Ankrah extended heartfelt condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the bereaved families, and the entire Ghanaian nation.

“May the Lord comfort all who are affected and grant peace to our nation Ghana,” he prayed.

Honouring the Legacy of Service

The Apostle General called for the legacy of the fallen officials and servicemen to be remembered as an “everlasting memorial” to their service to God and country.

The helicopter crash, which claimed the lives of Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, and six others, has sent the nation into mourning. President Mahama has declared a period of national mourning, with flags flying at half-mast.

As messages of condolence pour in from religious, political, and international figures, Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah’s message stands as a spiritual pillar of hope and healing during this national tragedy.
