Women’s football will once again take centre stage in Morocco today as the second matches of the FIFA Unites: Women’s Series 2025™ kicking off.
Afghan Women United – the newly-created team which is part of a wider FIFA strategy for Afghan women’s football – will face Tunisia, who secured an impressive 16-0 victory in the first match. Libya play Chad in the second match at the Stade Municipal de Berrechid.

FIFA Unites: Women’s Series 2025 matches – Wednesday 29 October (local kick-off times)
- Wednesday 29 October
- Tunisia v. Afghan Women United (17:00)
- Chad v. Libya (20:00)
Taking place at the Stade Municipal de Berrechid, the FIFA Unites: Women’s Series™ saw Afghan Women United play their first matches on the international stage on Sunday, with Chad and Libya set to make their FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking debuts at the completion of the round-robin tournament.
Afghan Women United’s participation in the FIFA Unites: Women’s Series is part of a wider strategy being pioneered by FIFA for Afghan women’s football, which is enabling players from the country to return to the women’s international stage and has been recognised as a leading initiative in the sporting world.
The historic four-team women’s football event reinforces FIFA’s efforts to promote and protect the right of all women and girls to play the sport, pursue their footballing dreams and thrive through the game.
