Comedy Night: DKB and friends thrill comedy lovers on NEW Year’s day

Revellers will have an unforgettable experience as comedian, DKB flanked by some other colleagues and musicians mount the big stage at the New Year Comedy Night. The show slated for January 1, would take place at the plush Alisa Hotel in Accra. Patrons would be treated to an evening of hilarious back-to-back rib cracking jokes. According to organisers, this edition would have two shows, 6pm and 9pm respectively. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Friday, 31st December, mark the 40th Anniversary of the 31st December Revolution. The anniversary is being spearheaded by the Events Planning Committee and is on the theme "40 Years of Democratic Stability: the Legacy of the Legend". Deplorable Tamale industrial area road fixed

The Tamale Industrial area road which was in deplorable state, thus caused several accidents that claimed many lives this year, has been fixed. The stretch from the industrial area to the Nyohin roundabout, had deteriorated, forcing commuters who ply the road to launch a campaign to get the road fixed. Speaking to the media, the Northern Regional Minister, Saani Alhassan Sayibu who facilitated the execution of the work said it is a major road project that urgently needed to be worked on. “With the commencement of work on the interchange, there was no other route that could have been used to cross to the Sahel Region so we needed to get that road fixed,” he said. 3 SHS students arrested over burning of Bolt driver remanded

The three Senior High School (SHS) students, arrested in connection with the burning to death of a Bolt rider at Sekondi Baka-Ano in the Western Region, have been remanded into police custody. They have been slapped with several criminal charges and were remanded on Thursday, December 30, 2021, by a Sekondi District Court presided over by Her Worship Mrs. Catherine Obiri Addo. With few days to end the year, the Ghana cedi’s performance has been described as mixed in 2021, by analysts and currency traders. This is because the local currency has depreciated by about 9% to the dollar on the retail market, though it has lost about 3% in value on the interbank market. Comparatively to that of last year, the performance of the cedi has been slightly worse, beating analysts and research institutions forecast, marginally.
