Police arrest Drinking Bar Operator over “wee”

The SWAT Unit of the Ghana Police Service have nabbed a 33-year-old porter for possessing two polythene bags containing dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp at Airport Junction aka Gate Four, in Accra.Baba Alhassan, also a drinking spot operator, was caught by the Police smoking some of the dried leaves. On seeing the Police, he allegedly damped the dried leaves in a bin.Appearing before an Accra Circuit Court, Alhassan pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful possession or control of narcotic drugs for use.The Court, presided over by Mr Samuel Bright Acquah, has admitted Alhassan to bail in the sum of GHS 50,000 with two sureties who are to be public servants, earning not less than GHC2,000.According to the Court, the sureties are to be within the court's jurisdiction.It further ...

Prisoners Hide ‘Wee’ In Anus

Some inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons have been captured in a short video inserting wrapped substances believed to be Indian hemp or ‘Wee’ into their anus. The prisoners, who are serving various sentences, were reportedly taken to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi by some officers to clean the place a few days ago. After the successful cleanup exercise, the male prisoners then went into a nearby bush right behind the stadium, where they inserted the illegal substances in their anus. According to reports, the prisoners inserted the Wee wrapped in polythene in their anus so they could carry it into the Kumasi Central Prisons for sale to inmates, after removing the illegal substances and washing them. Woman arrested for possessing ‘wee’

A forty-two-year-old woman has been arrested by personnel of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) at Asikuma Junction in the Volta Region, for possessing quantities of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana. The woman, Mavis Adubea, was arrested when she tried to outwit the GIS personnel by posing as a pregnant woman. Briefing the media here on Monday, the Deputy Commissioner of Immigration (DCI) in-charge of the Volta Region, Mr Peter Claver Nantuo, said on Sunday, April 26, the woman tried to outwit the personnel, who were stationed at the checkpoint at Asikuma, but was arrested.
