CAF increases Prize Money of TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”) Morocco 2024, Winner by 100% and Total Prize Money by 45%

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) increases the Prize Money of the Winner of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”) Morocco 2024 by 100% and the total Prize Money of this Competition by 45%. The President of CAF, Dr Patrice Motsepe said: “CAF is continuing with its commitment to the development and growth of Women’s Football in Africa. The 100% increase in the Prize Money of the Winner of the TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON Morocco 2024 and the 45% total increase in the Prize Money of this Competition should contribute to the increase of the salaries of Women Football players, coaches and employees. CAF and Morocco LOC announce Match Venues for much-anticipated TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2024

The Confédération Africaine de Football’s (“CAF”) together with hosts, Morocco Local Organizing Committee have announced the match venues that will host TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”), Morocco 2024 from 05-26 July, 2025. Six venues will be used for the Competition – the first time more than three venues are used for the event. WAFCON 2024: Ghana to face defending champions South Africa, two others in Group C 

The Black Queens of Ghana have been caged in Group C of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) alongside title holders South Africa, Mali and Tanzania. The Queens joined the long list of qualified teams who would be making a trip to Morocco after defeating the Brave Gladiators of Namibia in their final match last year.
