GWCL announces interruption in Water supply from September 14

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) on Friday said there will be an interruption in water supply to the eastern part of the Greater Accra Region from Monday, September 14 to Saturday, September 20, 2020. Engineers of the GWCL would use the period to replace close to two kilometres of a weak section of the main 42-inch diameter transmission pipe-line from Kpong to Tema, which is causing the Company to lose several volumes of water on daily basis. The situation, the GWCL said, was having a serious impact on the volumes of water supplied to consumers. WASSCE ends on September 5

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which commenced on July 20, 2020, would end on Saturday, September 5. The examination, written by 313,897 candidates across the country, began with project work such as basketry, painting and woodwork for Visual Arts candidates. Despite measures by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to ensure a smooth process, the examination had its fair share of rumours of leakage of questions purported to have generated from the Council. Cassava Processing Factory for Keta under 1D1F to be ready by September

Mr Godwin Edudzi Yao Effah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Keta, has said a Cassava Processing Factory under government’s One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) project would be ready by September, this year.
