President: Recruitment of more police officers boosts threat combat, peace maintenance
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that the recruitment of over 10,000 police officers and strategic investments in security infrastructure have strengthened Ghana's ability to combat threats and ensure peace.
In his State of the Nation Address (SONA) to Parliament on Friday, he highlighted key interventions including the introduction of aircraft for the Police Service, marking a first for the country.
The President also noted the acquisition of advanced surveillance systems and various infrastructural upgrades for both the police and the military.
