Special voting exercise in Krachi Nchumuru ends smoothly

The special voting exercise in Krachi Nchumuru constituency of the Oti Region, has come to close without any major incidents. A total of 359 cast their ballot out of 395 registered voters. The Ghana News Agency (GNA) observed that, the voting process was peaceful and orderly. Mr Adams Abdullah, the District Electoral Commission (EC), said sealed ballots had been kept at the armoury until after the December election. Mr Isaac Fanyen, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Communication Officer, described the turnout as "Not bad.” Mr Fanyen said the turnout could have been close to 100 per cent but attributed that to the absence of some essential service providers outside the constituency and being unable to participate in the special voting exercise.
