Legendary Highlife musican A B Crentsil passes on

Legendary Ghanaian musician Alfred Benjamin Crentsil known in showbiz as A.B Crentsil has died. Reports indicate that A.B. Crentsil was unwell for some time before his demise. The news of his death broke out on Wednesday morning. He was one of the "big three" of contemporary Ghanaian vocalists. Among the songs he composed included ‘Ma me dwene me ho’, ‘ I go pay tomorrow ‘, ‘Atia’, Obi Baa Wiase, Papa Samo, Ayen, Juliana and ‘Moses’.

Ghanaian rapper and singer Kweku Darlington has released a slick music video for his recent hit single "Sika Kankan" which features legendary Highlife musician Aseibu Amenfi. UK-based Ghanaian highlife producer Roy Thomas, who is a nephew of the famous highlife legend, Pat Thomas, has made interesting revelations about his willingness to uplift highlife music in Ghana.
