Chaos at Atebubu as police fire gunshots to disperse aggressive drivers
Police at Atebubu in the Bono East Region fired gunshots to disperse some aggrieved commercial drivers who besieged the Atebubu Police Station in the early hours of Saturday. The GNA gathered that the aggressive drivers were at the police station to demand justice for their colleague who was attacked and killed by a group of armed robbers on the Atebubu-Kumasi highway on Friday night January 10, 2025. Police had since deposited the body of the deceased, Ali Ibrahim, at a mortuary in the town.
However, no arrest had been made. Military reinforcement had arrived in the town to bring the situation under control.
