GCB Bank to Temporarily Close Selected Kumasi Branches on September 18
GCB Bank has announced the temporary closure of several of its branches in Kumasi on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in line with a directive from the Manhyia Palace regarding the burial of the late Asantehemaa.
The affected branches include Kumasi Main, Kejetia, Sofo Line, Asafo Market, Suame Magazine, Bantama, Jubilee House, Ahinsan, Tech Junction, and KNUST.
In a statement, the bank assured customers that its Ejisu and Nkawie branches will remain open to serve the public during the closure. Normal banking operations across all branches in the Ashanti regional capital will resume on Friday, September 19, 2025.
