Deputy Trade Minister Carlos Ahenkorah resigns after breaching COVID-19 protocols

Deputy Minister for Trade and Member of Parliament for Tema East, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has resigned from his post. This decision comes following his admission to the breach of the COVID-19 protocols put in place by the President in a way to prevent the spread of the disease. Mr Carlos Ahenkorah admitted in an interview to several radio stations in Accra, he visited registration centres despite his positive Covid-19 status. Many have descended heavily on the MP since his admission many of which has come from social media, describing his behaviour as irresponsible. Forgive one another for President Akufo-Addo’s sake- Carlos Ahenkorah

Member of Parliament for Tema West and Deputy Minister of trade, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to fall in line behind the agenda to re-elect President Akufo-Addo in December 2020. In a rallying call, he urged members across the country to abandon all acrimony for the party to work together as one unit with a common purpose. “Where we are now, victory is clearly ours; but we have to be careful that we ourselves do not sabotage our own chances.
