Nurudeen Abdulai and Fatawu Issahaku replace Mumin and Kamaldeen

Medeama SC defender Nurudeen Abdulai and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku of Leicester City have been called up in replace of Abdul Mumin and KamalDeen Sulemana for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros. KamalDeen Sulemana and Abdul Mumin were part of the 25-man squad for the game but have pulled out. Nurudeen and Issahaku have since joined the squad to prepare for the double header. The Black Stars opened camp in Accra Monday ahead of their trip to Kumasi to continue their preparations for the first game against Madagascar scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Friday, November 17, 2023. Ghana will later take on Comoros in Moroni on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku joins Sporting Club on a five-year deal

Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has officially signed for the Portuguese giants Sporting Club for five years. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku signed the deal which has a release clause of 60 million euros in it after turning 18 years. The former Steadfast winger has been at the club since February and has been training with the U-23 side of Sporting Lisbon. He was earlier reported to be on the books of Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen but has now joined the Portuguese outfit. AFCON 2021: Fatawu Issahaku set for first start against Comoros

Youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is set for his first start for Ghana in their African Cup of Nations last group C game against Comoros in Garoua. The Dreams FC player is expected to make his first start in the competition after making late appearances in the games against Morocco and Gabon. The former Ghana youth star could be paired in midfield with Arsenal's Thomas Partey, Edmund Addo, and Kamaldeen Suleman. Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku resumes training after injury scare

Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has returned to training after picking up an injury in Ghana's 3-0 defeat to African champions Algeria in a friendly match on Wednesday in Doha. The 18 year old forward who was handed a start caused the Algerian backline problems with his trickery and eye for shots from distance but could not find the breakthrough. Midway through the second half, the Dreams FC loanee went down injured clutching his thigh in what appeared to be a muscle injury which resulted in his substitution. Algerian defeated Ghana 3-0 with goals from Adam Ounas,before an own goal from Jonathan Mensah and a tap in from Islam Slimani rounded of the score line. Jordan, Djiku, Owusu, Baba and Fatawu join Star camp in Cape Coast

Jordan Ayew is one of the latest arrivals in the camp of the Black Stars in Cape Coast ahead of next week’s International friendly matches against Morocco and Ivory Coast. Revealed: Liverpool not pursuing Ghanaian prodigy Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

Liverpool are not in the running to sign highly-rated Ghana teenager Abdul Fatawu Issahaku this summer. Reports in Ghana over the weekend claimed the Reds had stolen a march in the race to snap up the 17-year-old attacking midfielder. It was suggested Liverpool had swooped in to take the player from Ghanaian club Steadfast FC ahead of Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. However, the ECHO understands the Reds are not pursuing a deal for Issahaku at present. In any case, employment rules now in place in the United Kingdom mean Liverpool would be unable to sign the player until he is 18 next March.
