President and Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), John Dramani Mahama, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, paid a visit to injured applicants of the ongoing 2025/2026 GAF recruitment exercise at the 37 Military Hospital.
The visit followed the unfortunate stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra, which claimed six lives and left several others with varying degrees of injuries before the commencement of the exercise.
During his visit, President Mahama interacted with the injured individuals in their respective wards and extended his wishes for their speedy recovery.
The President was accompanied by the Acting Minister of Defence, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson; the Deputy Minister of Defence, Hon. Ernest Brogya Genfi; and the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong.
