As the carols of Christmas echoed through the City of Kumasi and the world paused to celebrate love, hope, and new beginnings, MTN Ghana once again turned the true spirit of the season into action.
At the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and the Children’s Hospital at Pampaso, joy came wrapped not only in the cries of newborn babies but also in carefully prepared baby hampers, symbols of care and compassion.
For the 14th consecutive year, MTN has marked Christmas by standing with mothers who give birth on this sacred day, reminding them that they are not alone.

Mr Obed Adu-Amankwaah, MTN Area Sales Manager for Ashanti, Ahafo, Bono and Bono East Regions, speaking to the media after presenting the hampers, described Christmas as more than celebration and merrymaking.
He said it was a season of giving, kindness, and love – values that MTN held close to its heart.
The MTN’s Christmas baby hamper initiative reflects the company’s belief in giving back to the communities that sustain it.
Over the years, what began as a gesture of goodwill has grown into an annual ritual, one that touches lives at their most vulnerable and most joyful moment.
This year alone, MTN is distributing 700 baby hampers across Northern Ghana, spanning nine regions from the Ashanti Region through Bono, Ahafo, North East, Northern, and beyond.
Each hamper, carefully packed with essential baby care items, represents more than material support.
It is a message of welcome to every newborn, a reassurance to every mother, and a reminder that the joy of Christmas is found in sharing.
In celebrating the birth of Christ, MTN chose to celebrate new life, hope, and humanity.
Fourteen years on, MTN’s Christmas baby hamper initiative remains a shining example of corporate compassion, proof that when businesses bond with communities, kindness becomes tradition, and giving becomes a legacy.
