Kotoko Announces Interim Technical Direction After Zito Exit

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has announced a temporary restructuring of its technical team following the departure of head coach Abdul Karim Zito.

The club has confirmed that experienced coach Prince Yaw Owusu will take charge of the technical team on an interim basis. He will be assisted by Mohammed Hamza Obeng as the club works toward stabilizing its technical setup.

This interim arrangement is expected to ensure continuity within the team while management assesses the next steps regarding the club’s long-term technical leadership.

Prince Yaw Owusu brings considerable coaching experience to the role, and supporters will be hoping his guidance, alongside Hamza Obeng’s support, can help maintain competitiveness as Kotoko prepares for upcoming fixtures.

The club has yet to announce whether the arrangement will become permanent or if a substantive head coach will be appointed in the near future.
