BECE Centre in Ajumako records one pregnancy, one absentee

The Sunkwa Catholic Basic School centre for the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District has one pregnant candidate writing the examination.
One other person is absent with no reason assigned.
The exams began at 09:15 hours at the centre, hosting 284 candidates from 12 schools, comprising 156 males and 128 females, after a slight delay in the arrival of the examination papers.
Mr Kofi Abotsi, the District Science Coordinator and supervisor for the centre, noted that all candidates have been decent and comported themselves well.
In all, 2,836 candidates are writing the exams across nine centres in the district.
Candidates are writing Social Studies and Computing today, Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
