Police Restore Calm At Ofankor After Riot

The Ghana Police Service have restored calm and order at Ofankor on the Achimota-Pokuase road following a riot on Wednesday morning. The riot that resulted in the blockage of the highway by people suspected of being landguards has now been restored peacefully. The police said the riot was in relation to a land litigation issue. The police said it had since opened the road to traffic and beefed-up security in the area. Reports alleged that the landguards involved in the incident shot some people resulting in injuries. The Police said the investigation was ongoing to get the perpetrators arrested.

Ghana secures slot for 2023 AFCON as group winners

Ghana won the Group E qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Central African Republic 2-1 at the packed Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The epic match had most fans on the edge of their seats, with Central African Republic dictating the pace of the game in the first half. The visitors scored the opener in the 25th minute through Louis Mafouta. Mafouta who beat goalkeeper AtiZigi with a nice dribble was assisted by Amos Youga. Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum Rejoins Asante Kotoko as Head Coach

Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has returned to Kumasi Asante Kotoko as head coach for the upcoming Ghana football season. According to Kumasi based Opemsuo radio, the WAFA man who left the club last season has rejoined them after reaching an agreement with the handlers of the club. Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum first led the team to success in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season guiding them to lift the league title before being fired despite signing a two year deal. Kotoko settle on Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as an alternative venue for 2023/24 season 

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has selected the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese as an alternative home ground for the upcoming BetPawa Premier League. The Porcupine Warriors selected the venue alongside their traditional home ground the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. This was revealed after the Ghana Football Association announced an official list of venues of all premier league clubs ahead of the impending season.

Ghana Premier league side Nsoatreman FC has announced the arrival of Maxwell Konadu as the team's new head coach. Ghana’s Coach Albert Arthur Gains ITF level 3 Certificate

Two time Ghana's Billie Jean King Cup coach Albert Arthur has been upgraded from ITF level 2 to level 3 by International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) license B certificate by the Association of ATP coaches led by Coach Alberto Castellani cementing Ghana's reputation in tennis coaching development. The coaching event was organized by the Tunisia Tennis Federation with support from the ATP coaches Association at Hamamet Tunisia. The award places coach Albert Arthur as the first Ghanaian to attain this coaching level.
