Former President Mahama wishes Black Stars well ahead of AFCON opener

Former President John Dramani Mahama has sent a goodwill message to the Black Stars team as they begin their 2021 African Cup of Nations journey in Cameroon.

The four-time African champions are aiming to end their four decades AFCON trophy drought having last won the tournament in Libya in 1982.

Ghana Black Stars this afternoon will open their campaign against Morocco at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo before playing Gabon and Comoros in the other Group C matches.

Former President Mahama in his message charged the Black Stars to end Ghana’s AFCON drought by winning its fifth trophy.
