Akuapem teenage girls schooled on ways to climb academic ladder

Teenage girls within the Akuapem enclave, particularly Mamfe, have been taken through the necessary rudiments to climb higher the academic ladder to become useful citizens. The girls, who were there alone without their parents, were educated on the prevention of teenage pregnancy and other issues that would not stagnate their education. Those, who had given birth while in school and, therefore, had to stay at home, would also be assisted to go back to school. Buildings that have encroached on land earmarked for dual-carriage road construction would be demolished – Roads Minister

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako Attah has warned that any project that stands in the way of the construction of dual-carriage roads would be demolished. He said no Ghanaian is bigger than the national interest, therefore, any project that stands in the way of the national interest will be taken off. Former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey has been reported dead. He died on Friday January 7, 2022 in Tema after short illness.He was 67years. Pakistan: Many dead as heavy snow traps drivers in their vehicles

At least 21 people have died after heavy snow trapped them in their vehicles in northern Pakistan. The military is attempting clear roads and rescue people still trapped near the hilltop town of Murree. Around 1,000 vehicles were trapped on a highway during a blizzard, according to Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid. Murree is a mountain resort town north of the capital Islamabad.
