Roads Minister writes to CID to probe Captain Smart over GH¢25,000

The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako Attah, has lodged a complaint at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, praying to the investigative body to probe radio presenter, Captain Smart, over alleged corruption. To Mr. Amoako Atta who is also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa West, his attention was drawn to the alleged act of the radio presenter when a woman called into the SEAT program on NET 2 about a week ago to make her case. Pres Akufo-Addo dismisses US$5 million bribery allegation against Chief Justice

President Nana Addo Dankwa AKufo-Addo has dismissed the US$5 million bibery allegation against the Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin Yeboah According to the President, the allegation raised no prima facie case for the impeachment of the Chief Justice and, therefore, dismissed the allegation. Anti-corruption civil society organization, the Alliance for Social and Public Accountability (ASEPA), filed the petition to the President demanding the removal of the Chief Justice form office for his alleged involvement in the bribery allegation. Following the allegation, President Akufo-Addo sent a request to the Council of State, to determine whether the allegation raised a prima facie case for the impeachment of the chief justice.
