Hearts of Oak go through successful registrarion for Africa

Accra Hearts of Oak have successfully gone through the registration of players and officials for the 2021/22 CAF Inter Clubs competitions. The Ghanaian champions completed the process in the midnight of Monday, August 16, 2021 through the help of the IT Department of the Ghana Football Association. Accra Hearts of Oak will compete in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League – their first continental appearance since 2015. The Phobians will kick start their campaign against Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar in the preliminary round. The 2000 CAF Champions League winners will travel to Conakry for the first leg on the weekend of 10-12 September, with the second leg set to take place on the weekend of 17-21 September 2021 in Accra.

AFCON 2021: Ghana Black Stars handed tricky group

The Ghana Black Stars team have been paired with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros in C of the TotalEnergies 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Coach C.K Akonnor’s side will play their first two matches in Yaoundé before travelling up North to Garoua for the final Group C encounter. The Ghana Black Stars will take on the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the opening match on Monday, January 10 at the Ahmadou Ahijo stadium in Yaoundé. Ghana will then play Gabon on Friday, January 14 before battling Comoros on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. The Black Stars are in search of their first Africa Cup of Nations title since 1982 and Coach Akonnor has been tasked to end the forty –two year trophy in Cameroon.
