Black Stars and Accra Great Olympics midfielder Gladson Awako has completed his much anticipated switch to the Hearts of Oak according to reports by Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM
The 30-year-old is believed to have put penned down a two-year deal with Phobians after agreeing personal terms.
Gladson Awako was very influential for the ‘Agorsu’ lads in the just ended Ghana Premier league captaining the side to sith position amassing 52 points out of 34 games.
With Hearts set to participate in Caf Champions League in September, head coach Samuel Boadu has added the Black Stars midfielder to his already established squad in order to be able to make a mark in the competition.
Awako, who scored six goals and provided seven assists for Olympics has been on the radar of both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak following his staller performance in the 2020/21 football season.
His arrival will be a big boost for Hearts of Oak as they prepare to make a return to continental football after a long absence.
