Adomako, Appau scores as Kotoko beat Inter Allies to boost title winning dreams

Asante Kotoko kept their title winning dreams alive with a 2-3 win over relegation threatened Inter Allies in Dawu in their week 29 league game played on Monday. Kotoko opened the scoring of the match in the 26th minute through Emmanuel Gyamfi who connected a headed pass from forward Evans Adomako. Allies levelled matters in the 39th minute when Alex Aso scored from close range after he was set up by Nafiu Sulemana. Adomako restored Kotoko's lead with three minutes to halftime as Gyamfi turned the provider with a low cross from the left to set him up. Allies levelled proceedings again in the 63rd minute through Okpe but that didn't last long as the Porcupine Warriors got their noses in front once more in the 71st minute. Robbers kills Policeman in Bullion Van attack in James Town

A Police officer with the SWAT department has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers in an attack on a bullion van at Adedenpo near James Town. The Police Officer who was shot in the front seat of the vehicle in which he was was escorting money. The development comes in the wake of increased reports of robberies in parts of the country especially Accra, Kumasi, and parts of the Eastern region. The Police say reports of the attack have reached them.

Accra High Court adjourns #FixTheCountry case to June 21 over late filing of documents

The Criminal Court 1 of the Accra High Court has adjourned the case between the #fixthecountry conveners and the state to Monday, June 21, 2021. At the hearing on Monday, June 14, 2021, the State attorney prayed the High court to give them time to file their affidavit in opposition to the one filed by lawyers of the conveners. The judge, Ruby Aryeetey, therefore granted the request and adjourned the case. The Nkawkaw Police Command has arrested a man in the act of cutting a railway track at Asante Praso. Upon receiving information that some persons were in the act of cutting the lines at Asante Praso, a team from the Command led by ACP/Mr. Kofi Adu, proceeded to the location and found suspect Kwadwo Gyamfi and seven others now at large busily cutting the RBS rails belonging to the Ghana Railway Company Limited with the aid of an LPG cylinder. Members of the Parliament Select Committee on Environment, Science and Technology have paid a working visit to Panbros Salt Industries and Empire Cement, a new cement factory being constructed along the Weija Road.
