Shatta Wale apologises to road contractor

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has rendered an apology to Kennedy Acquah, a road contractor with whom he had a tussle with this week.

According to the ‘Melissa hitmaker’ he doesn’t want to go into the details of what happened on Monday, May 31, calling on Kennedy to joins hands with him ‘to build our motherland.’

“A lot has happened, needless to explain or defend. Wish to apologize to everyone especially the contractor and Kennedy, let us work together to build our motherland, One Love!,” he Tweeted.

This comes after the road contractor, Kennedy Acquah, had accused the dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and his men of assaulting him and his workers at Adjiringanor in Accra.

The engineer on site claimed that the artiste was angry that they did not extend the work on the road to his office.

However, Shatta Wale in interview stated his side of the story.

“On Friday, I went to my office and I realized that there was some construction works on the junction leading to my office. So I asked them who their boss was, and I inquired from him why they didn’t inform us about the roadblock despite the years of uncompleted road works. The following Monday, I was going to my office again, and I realized that this time around, they had blocked the main road to the office.”

“I got out from my car and asked who was in charge because they were putting bitumen on the already tarred road, but some workers said I should not be given attention. But I insisted that I am a citizen and I need to see who was in charge. So I asked them to stop work, so that I see the contractor”, Shatta Wale further explained.
