Coach Zito rings changes for quarterfinal match against against Cameroon

Coach Abdul Karim Zito has made changes to his starting line up for today’s crunch quarterfinal game against Cameroon in the ongoing Africa U20 Cup of Nations. Former U17 captain Uzair Alhassan has been drafted in to replace Nathaniel Adjei who has been ruled out of the match. Uzair will partner Frank Kwabena Assinki in central defense with Samuel Abbey Ashie-Quaye and Philomon Baffour on the left and right respectively. In midfield Emmanuel Essiam and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will start with Patrick Mensah also brought in for today’s game. Ex Medeama coach Samuel Boadu appears on Hearts of Oak’s radar

Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have turn attention to former Medeama SC head Coach Samuel Boadu. The gaffer could join the Accra based side following his departure from the Mauve and Yellows. Accra Hearts of Oak are with a substantive coach since the departure of Serbian Coach Kosta Papic some weeks ago. Coach Boadu appears on top of the shortlisted coaches who have been reported to be heading to Accra Hearts f Oak. Coaches like Ibrahim Tanko, Yaw Acheampong of Elmina Sharks have all been linked with the Phobians. The club is currently managed by youth coach Nii Noi Thompson who has led them to a back to back victories over Ebusua Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals.

Coach Samuel Boadu leaves Medeama

Ghana Premier league side Medeama have parted ways with hea coach Samuel Boadu. The Tarkwa based side announced his exit on Thursday after the gaffer tendered in his resignation letter. "The club would like to thank Sammy for his work during his time at the club and to wish him success in the future". a statement from the club said. The Tarkwa based side will appoint a new caretaker coach in the interim till the club appoint a substansive coach. Samuel Boadu joined the Mauves and Yellows as a youth team coach before he was elevated to become the senior team coach.

COVID vaccine: Akufo-Addo to take first shot

President Akufo-Addo will receive the first dose of the initial consignment of COVID-19 vaccines which arrived in the country on Wednesday. “President Akufo-Addo will be the first to be vaccinated,” Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, Presidential advisor on health, disclosed. The father of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has passed away in Brazil. Jose Becker's body is reported to have been found around midnight in the city of Bage after a swimming incident.
