Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s second leg CAF Champions League clash against Al-Hilal has been officially called off.
The decision comes after Asante Kotoko failed to raise a team for the game after several players and officials tested positive for Coronavirus.
It was reported that 11 members in the Asante Kotoko camp had tested positive for COVID-19 before the start of the game.
The Ghanaian side confirmed that the match was initially delayed due to ‘missing result’ of one Kotoko player.
Both teams are waiting for a decision from CAF to know the next stage of action.
Al-Hilal have an advantage after winning the first leg 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in December.94
