Government commended for supporting SMEs

Mrs Efua Goode-Obeng Kyei, Director EKGS Culinary Institute, has commended government for its financial and business advisory support for Small and Medium Enterprises to cushion them in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tema East holds workshop to curb streetism

The Tema Metropolitan office of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development has held a workshop on streetism for the youth of Tema Manhean.  Madam Emelia Akorfa Menokpor, Tema East Sub-Metro Social Welfare Officer, said the Department organized the workshop to provide the youth with the needed information on streetism, saying people living on the streets were increasing.  Madam Menokpor said many young people preferred being on the streets instead of school, therefore, the need to sensitize the youth on the effects of streetism and use the participants as agents of change in their respective communities.  She disclosed that her outfit had handled more than 50 cases of streetism this year, mentioning that the victims were mostly females who report...

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has honoured two past Presidents of the Association for their hard work, commitment and dedication to duty during their tenures in office. The former l Presidents who each served the GRNMA for eight years, were Mrs Alice Darkoa  Asare-Allotey and Evangelist Dr Kwaku Asante-Krobea. They were both honoured with plaques and citations at the Association's dinner and awards night held in Accra to climax the GRNMA’s 60 Anniversary celebrations. The Electoral Commission (EC) has disclosed that it will initiate processes leading to the creation of a new constituency in the Guan district when the 8th Parliament commences. The Electoral Commission's (EC) preliminary investigation into vote-rigging for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential Candidate, New Patriotic Party( NPP) ,has proven to be unfounded. The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested four persons including; two policemen for trading in firearms. The policemen are; Lance Corporals Emmanuel Abusah Yao and Sulayman Yusuf stationed at Visibility Headquarters, Accra.
