Hearts of Oak appoints Kosta Papic

Ghana Premier league side Accra Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian trainer Kosta Papic as the club's new head coach. The 60 year old tactician returns to the Phobians as coach, replacing coach Edward Nii Odoom who have been handling the team since the departure of Kim Grant. Kosta Papic returns to the team since after handling the side from July 2008 to June 2009. He last handled eSwatini national team in 2018, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and amongst others. He will be assisted by Asare Bediako with new Nii Odoom as Assistant coach in charge of Auroras.

President Akufo-Addo commissions 60-bed Twifo Praso hospital

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Friday, 27th November 2020, commissioned the sixty-bed Twifo Atti-Morkwaa District Hospital, located in Twifo Praso, in the Central Region. This hospital, initiated by former President John Agyekum Kufuor in 2008 as part of the ‘Ghana Hospitals Project’, is the fifth such Hospital commissioned by President Akufo-Addo following the opening of the Upper West Regional Hospital, in Wa, the Ga East Municipal Hospital, in Accra, the Ahafo Ano Municipal Hospital in Tepa, and the Tain District Hospital in Nsawkaw.. The Ghana Football Association (GFA), wishes to announce ZAZ Produkte, a German sports clothing company as the official referee kit sponsor for a period of three football seasons. The partnership which was led by Club Consult Africa, the local representative of the German firm, takes immediate effect from the 2020/2021 season that kicked off on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Under this partnership agreement, ZAZ Produkte through Club Consult Africa, will provide the GFA with Referee kits each year for the duration of the contract. Alliance for Empowering Rural Communities educates youth on SDGs

The Alliance for Empowering Rural Communities (AERC) has organized a workshop to educate the youth  on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in order to get them involved in its implementation. AERC observed that, with the youth understanding the role SDGs played in national development, it would trigger a peer-review mechanism that would allow young people to educate themselves, which would make them better prepared to take up their role as future leaders of the nation.
